Wham! Burger - Double Whammy Burger (add on Bleu Cheese)
Rating: 4/5
Comment: It’s huge!! At first bite, I couldn’t even fit it inside my mouth. But as I worked my way in through the burger, I realized that it wasn’t as hard to eat as I thought it would be. A big factor would be because this is one fine tasting burger. The meat is juicy and at the same time cooked just right. They claim that all their patties are freshly made and not frozen. They use mustard as a condiment and that is a big plus too. Although their buns could’ve been thinner because as I was finishing up my burger, I realized that I had this fair piece of bread left. But aside from that, this burger is one worth to try.

Wendy’s - Baconator Melt
Rating: 2.5/5
Comment: Maybe I was expecting a little bit too much for this burger since everybody was talking about a variety of this (the Baconator steakhouse) like it was the king of all burgers. I guess the latter would’ve been a better choice since the Baconater melt lacked the tanginess to it. It was just pure beef, bacon, and cheese. The patties were also a bit dry thinking that the cheese supposedly should’ve helped in making it juicy. Although I have to give props to the bun. They’ve always had their signature buns which you won’t be able to find in any fastfood chain locally.

The Burger Project - Bleu Buffalo
Bleu cheese, buffalo wing sauce, onion rings, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles
Rating: 4/5
Comment: Who would’ve thought that there would be a burger joint in the middle of a small village in Quezon City? Who also would’ve thought that the burger there would taste so great? We were hesitant at first but a friend told me that it was worthy of being on a burger blog. She was right! The burger joint lets you create your own burger and has a wide variety of add-ons to choose from. Although I got one of their signature burgers which turned out to be better than what I expected. Their buns were soft (although I’d prefer it to have a little crisp on the rims of the bun), their meat was grilled medium-well which made it so tender and their bleu cheese sauce complimented the whole burger itself instead of overpowering the meat. You would definitely see more reviews from this Burger Joint!

McDonald’s - Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese
Rating: 4/5
Comment: I love cheese and I love meat. So what can I say? This burger probably tops my list in Mickey Dee’s burgers although I’d prefer the meat to be a little bit more juicy. But ofcourse, more grease = more detrimental for your health. This is something that I’d eat on a late night when I’m craving for a burger. (But I try to never crave… ;p)

White Castle - Sliders (Pulled pork, Bacon Cheeseburger, Jalapeno burger)
Rating: 2/5
Comment: A burger uses burger buns… And not dinner rolls! But I have to give them props for making a tasty “filling” inside. Their burger patties are too thin and it just becomes over-powered by the add-ons you put in it. If I wasn’t expecting a burger but just bread bun with filling in it, it would be good.

Five Guys - Little Bacon Cheeseburger
Quarter-pound beef patty with lettuce, pickles, tomato, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, ketchup, mustard, jalapeno peppers, cheese, and bacon
Rating: 3/5
Comment: First of all, the “little” bacon cheeseburger isn’t little to begin with. Although after having a bite of this topping-filled burger, I began to understand what they were trying to say. I could barely taste the meat and the “extras” are just over-powering. Having pickles, jalapenos and mustard all at the same time made it so sour. The juices also made the bun soggy and I was in a constant battle not to let my burger fall apart in each bite. If you plan on visiting Five Guys, I suggest that you find time to pick out the fillings you want to add instead of just getting their basic “Everything on it.”

Island Burger - Bleunami
Bleu cheese dressing, crumbled bleu cheese, lettuce, tomato & red onion
Rating: 3.5/5
Comment: I am not a fan a bleu cheese but I understand and appreciate it’s taste on burgers. This one though had more bleu cheese “dressing” than bleu cheese crumbles which made it taste like it just had a lot of mayonnaise. Their patty is still the amazingly juicy and tender cut and the wheat buns go well with it.

Island Burger - Kilauea Burger
Jalapeno & black pepper-crusted burger with pepper jack cheese, Island Reds, chipotle, aioli, lettuce & tomato
Rating: 4.5/5
Comment: We decided to get wheat buns instead of regular white buns because our server said that they have one of the best-tasting wheat buns in the market. To our surprise, it was really what they said they were. I liked this particular burger because of strong peppery taste (which I prefer over hotsauce) and the Island Reds were just amazing. Just to note, Island reds are really thin slices of onion rings that are a bit spicy and really crispy. We got the meat done medium-well and it turned out non-bloody and just cooked right through.

IN-N-OUT - Double Double Burger
Two 100% Beef patties, hand-leafed lettuce, tomato, spread, two slices of American cheese, onions, stacked high on a freshly baked bun
Rating: 5/5
Comment: This burger tops my list (until something better comes along). Their ingredients are so basic that it brings out the flavor of the meat and the cheese. Not to mention how crisp the rim around the bun is. It adds that crunch which is the logic in eating burgers/sandwiches with chips. You won’t need anything else to pair this burger with.

McDonald’s - Angus Mushroom & Swiss
Third-pound 100% Angus Beef patty, premium bun, natural swiss cheese, sauteed mushrooms, mayonnaise dressing
Rating: 4/5
Comment: This burger is one of my favorites because it has that cheezy goodness that overflows in your mouth in each bite and the meat-to-bun ratio is just right. Although honestly I think that the burger could have been a little bit bigger (or maybe I’m just saying it cuz it’s really good and I think I can eat a couple of these things). They could lay off the mayonnaise cuz it doesn’t really do much because of the swiss cheese.

LBS - Bracket Burger
Half pound beef patty loaded with American cheese, smoked bacon, a fried egg, crispy firecracker onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles, avocado, LBS sauce, BBQ sauce, and spicy mustard
Rating: 3/5
Comment: This burger has just too many things happening to it. Note to self: Never get a burger with egg on it cuz things just get messy. It had a good serving of meat but I couldn’t really get the flavor out of it because of too much sauce.

Bachi Burger - Kiki’s Burger
Angus beef, sauteed shiitake, enoki and eryngi mushrooms, caramelized bacon, sweet onion marmalade, gruyere cheese, garlic chili aioli
Rating: 4/5
Comment: I love how they used different kinds of veggies for this burger instead of your usual lettuce. I also liked how their pattie wasn’t overcooked for something well-done. It was still juicy and every bite of it is just exploding with flavor.

Hotshots - Burger Deluxe
Quarter pound flame-grilled burger, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and mayo
Rating: 3/5
Comment: I love how soft the buns were and their meat was cooked just right, juicy and flavorful. This burger could also use add-ons like cheese, jalapenos, etc. I personally think that they could cut out the mayo and instead just put ketchup and mustard. Yumm…!

Burger King - Mushroom Swiss Steakhouse Burger
Rating: 4/5
Comment: How can you go wrong with Swiss Cheese on your burger? This one’s not even on the regular menu and it’s one of my favorites.
